You can add a Clever Certificates credential to your LinkedIn profile in two ways — as a Licence & Certification entry, or by sharing the verification link directly in a post or your profile summary.

Option 1: Add as a Licence & Certification on LinkedIn

  1. Log in to LinkedIn and go to your Profile.
  2. Click Add profile section → Recommended → Licences & certifications.
  3. Fill in:
    • Name: the certificate title (e.g. "Karate Black Belt – 1st Dan")
    • Issuing organisation: your school or dojo name
    • Issue date: the date on your certificate
    • Credential URL: paste the verification link from your Clever Certificates account (the permanent verify.clevercertificates.com URL)
  4. Click Save. LinkedIn will display the entry on your profile with a clickable link to the live verification page.

Option 2: Share the verification link in a post

Copy the verification URL from your certificate and paste it into a LinkedIn post. LinkedIn will generate a preview card showing the certificate details. Add a short message about what you achieved and post it — your network can click through to verify the credential instantly.

Where do I find my verification link?

After purchasing a certificate with the QR Verification add-on (or with an Academy Pro subscription), your certificate includes a unique URL printed on the QR code. You can also find the link in your My Certificates dashboard under your account.

Does LinkedIn accept Clever Certificates credentials?

Yes. The verification page at verify.clevercertificates.com is a publicly accessible, permanent URL. LinkedIn treats it the same as any other credential URL — there is no special integration required.

What if I don't have a verification link?

If you downloaded a standard Web Pack or Print Pack without the QR Verification add-on, you will not have a verification URL. You can still upload the certificate image to LinkedIn as a media attachment on your profile section, but it will not be verifiable with a clickable link. Upgrading to include QR Verification on a future purchase adds this capability.
